Terms of service
Personal Backups is a private tool operated by the Google account owner.
Scope
The application is intended to back up and restore files the operator owns or is authorized to process. It is not offered as a public backup service and has no public registration or subscription.
Authorization
Google Drive access requires the account owner’s consent. The owner can revoke that consent through their Google Account settings. Revocation prevents further authorized access and interrupts automated backups; it does not delete copies already stored.
Operating the backups
The operator chooses the source files, destinations, and retention policy, and is responsible for monitoring backup jobs, testing recovery, maintaining sufficient storage, and keeping recovery keys safely. Loss of required encryption keys can make stored backups unrecoverable.
The application depends on local computers, network access, and storage-provider services. Continuous operation and successful recovery are not guaranteed. Backup copies should be checked and restored periodically to verify that they meet the operator’s needs.
Privacy and contact
Data handling is described in the privacy policy. For questions, use the developer support email shown on the application’s Google authorization screen.
